Decomtamination Method
Step 1 – Remove all porous materials from the property such as carpet and underlay, curtains, unpainted timber, exposed insulation and any other materials recommended by the decontamination specialist. Depending on levels some cabinetry, doors, electrical fittings, electrical appliances and ventilation equipment may need to be removed and discarded.
Step 2 – Suitable Personal Protective Equipment must be worn. Full Face Respirator is necessary. Gloves and boot covers should be worn and taped at ankles and wrists. HEPA vacuum all floors, walls and ceiling to remove loose dirt and dust. This is a crucial step in the process.
Step 3 – Perform Initial Scrub of all surfaces using Ultra Total and scrubbing brush or scratchy pad on pole. Rinse Thoroughly
Step 4 – Mix equal parts Formula 86 Parts 1 and 2 in a clean container. Apply to surfaces using a ULV Fogger, garden sprayer or Foamer. Lightly agitate the product on the surfaces using a mop on a pole to assist penetration immediately after application. Product must remain on the surfaces for 4 hours minimum. For best results in heavy contamination operate a Fogger to keep surfaces damp at all times.
Step 5 – Using ample clean water rinse all surfaces thoroughly. Use water extraction equipment if possible.
Step 6 – Thoroughly clean all equipment with water after use. If the property is heavily contaminated or is excessively dirty repeat steps 4 and 5
